The ASET Foundation Board of Directors invites your company to participate in its CSS (Company Sponsored Scholarship) program. The program is designed to encourage neurodiagnostic technologists’ pursuit of continuing education and professional advancement. Your company’s commitment to fund a scholarship in your company’s name for an ASET member to attend the Society’s Annual Conference will not only obtain market recognition and goodwill for your company, but eligibility for a tax deduction as well.

The program works as follows:
The scholarship is named after your company. Recognition of your company will be provided in announcements of the scholarship availability and call for applications as posted on the ASET Foundation website, in broadcast e-mails to the ASET membership, and published in the pre-conference registration brochure. Acknowledgement of scholarships funded also will be published in the on-site conference program and announced at the Society’s annual business meeting.
The value of the scholarship is set by your company. It could be in an amount to cover the cost of registration, or a higher amount to cover registration and to help offset cost of travel to the event. As a 501(c)3 public charity, the funds you provide to the ASET Foundation for your named scholarship are tax deductible in the year in which the funds are contributed.
Your company places parameters on who would be eligible to apply for your scholarship, such as a technologist preparing for Board exams, or those holding a specific credential. ASET membership is a standard eligibility criteria.
In order to apply for your scholarship, individuals are required to complete an application developed by the Foundation and include with it a: (1) typed, signed statement of his/her general activities and interests, career and professional goals, responsibilities of his/her current position and how attending the annual conference would better help them in the course of their day-to-day job, long-term career, and/or professional goals; and (2) letter of recommendation from the individual’s supervisor or administration approving or noting their support of the applicant’s participation in the annual conference.
The ASET Foundation Board of Directors is responsible for receiving and reviewing all completed scholarship applications as well as selection of recipients. In addition to the parameters outlined by your company, all applications will be evaluated based on financial need; financial contribution of the employer; educational growth expected as a result of attending the conference; need for skill enhancement as defined by change in employment, lab expansion, or job promotion; and, if applicable, need to sit for board exams or earn continuing education credit to maintain current registry. If no applicant meets the eligibility parameters set by your company, then your company has the option to opt out of its commitment for the year, allow the scholarship to be awarded to another candidate selected by the board, or roll the commitment into next year.

For CSS Applicants:
Candidates must be a current member of ASET for a minimum of one year prior to the time of application. Companies may place additional eligibility parameters for their sponsored scholarships. The application filing deadline is on the application form for each year, approximately three months prior to the conference.
